About me
Hello, my name is Lisa.
I am a trained counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist.
Many people reach out for support because they know something needs to change—they're just not sure where to begin. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a major life transition, struggling with confidence, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, you're not alone. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive and practical space where you feel heard, understood and empowered to create lasting, meaningful change.
Helping people find that path forward isn't simply my profession—it's a vocation that grew from my own journey. After working in a variety of professional and not-for-profit organisations, I came to realise that my true calling was supporting people to improve their emotional wellbeing and quality of life. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone reconnect with their inner strength, rediscover hope and begin living with greater confidence and purpose.
My passion for this work was further strengthened when I witnessed the remarkable transformations people experienced through Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). At first, I could hardly believe how quickly some people were able to shift from feeling anxious, discouraged or emotionally stuck to feeling calmer, more optimistic and genuinely hopeful. Watching those changes unfold inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others experience that same transformation.
Since then, I have continued expanding my skills to provide clients with an integrated and personalised approach to therapy. Today, I combine professional Counselling, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Strategic Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping), NLP, Time Line Therapy®, coaching and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. Every person is different, so together we tailor sessions to suit your individual needs, goals and pace.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, fears and phobias, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, sleep concerns, emotional overwhelm, confidence issues and weight-related challenges. My approach is solution-focused, compassionate and practical, helping you develop the tools and confidence to create lasting positive change.
For more than a decade, I have presented seminars and workshops throughout Victoria, supporting individuals and groups to better understand themselves and improve their wellbeing. My background in Speech and Drama, with diplomas from Trinity College London and the Australian Guild of Speech and Drama, has also enabled me to help many people overcome the fear of public speaking, develop self-confidence and communicate with greater ease.
My professional qualifications include a Diploma of Counselling, Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy, and certification as a Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Time Line Therapy® and Coaching. I am also a qualified Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner.
I am a certified professional member of the Australian Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (AACHP), which is recognised by the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA). My training was completed through the Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP), an organisation respected for its commitment to ethical practice, professional excellence and ongoing education.
Based in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, I offer a warm, respectful and non-judgemental environment where you can feel heard, understood and supported. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and it is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they rediscover their confidence, resilience and direction in life.
Learning never stops, and neither does my commitment to providing the best possible care. I continually undertake professional development so that I can offer my clients the most effective, up-to-date therapeutic approaches available.
Testimonials
What I have experienced this month has been life changing. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for over 40 years. I have had every therapy known to man with no avail. Till I went to see Lisa, who was referred by a friend. In this month my life has changed so dramatically. I now am positive, don’t worry about things that haven’t happened, or what is going to happen in the future. I’m secure, happy, and ever so grateful that I received this amazing help. I highly recommend Lisa. - Helen
I saw Lisa for an issue I had relating to family stress, which had been causing me concern for some time. Lisa got to the heart of the problem and was able to quickly direct me in a clear and positive direction that better served me and my family. Lisa is warm, empathetic and she had great insight into how I was feeling. She took the time to listen and understand my situation. I highly recommend Lisa and will use her services again if I need in the future. - Debbie
Hi all that suffer from phobias, fears, panic attacks and anxiety. My name is Lena, I have had anxiety and panic attacks for years. I couldn’t go shopping or drive or walk to the letter box. When I heard about Lisa, I contacted her and after a few sessions with this amazing Master Practitioner I now can do all of the above and lots more. I feel fantastic, I urge anyone that wants the suffering to end to go and see Lisa without delay. You will be happy you did. - Lena
I saw Lisa to get help with a habit I have had for over 40 years of chewing/biting my lips and cheeks. Lisa’s calm, non-judgemental and professional skills helped me to open-up and let go of the problem. After 2 sessions I now feel in charge of my behaviour and find my mouth is healing up for the first time in a very long time. I cannot thank Lisa enough for helping me to release those inner tensions and concerns. - Carol
I had a problem with feelings of homelessness and eating ice cream late at night. I had hypnotherapy, and along with the insights and help I’ve received, I’ve not had the thought that I’m homeless or that I want to reward myself with an ice cream. I also feel "lighter" in my presence if that makes sense. Thank you, Lisa. - Selina
I’ve been dealing with my Phobia of heights for over 34 years. And I can’t believe that it really only took one session! I came back for another session to overcome the disbelief that it could happen so quickly! I’m so grateful, I feel so liberated, I can’t believe that I carried this fear for so long! I wish I would have seen Lisa sooner. - Kay
